Felt washers are used everywhere from the automotive industry, to musical instruments, and bearings and castors, all the way to the house building sector and interior design. They are often used as a damper or even as an aid to carry lubrication in a specific appliance. In the automotive industry, for example, it softens the resonance between interior panels and also prohibits dirt entering into some ball/cup joints. In ceratin bearings, if lubricated correctly, it aids in the free flowing nature and longevity of the fitting. Felt discs / felt dots and felt pads are produced by our Company and have become increasingly popular where they can be applied to household items such as beds, chair and table legs to stop the natural chaffing of the article in question. Table accessories such as coasters are lined with self adhesive felt pads to aid in the free flowing nature and again stop the marking on certain surfaces.

      Industrial felts are generally  made from two materials;- Wool or Polyester or a combination of both. Wool is a versatile matted material enabling it the unique ability to cushion, retain its resilience under pressure and seal out dust and provides an excellent medium for carrying oil.

Depending on quality the temperature range is -20C to+100/150C .
